Welcome to the Mohave Sportsman Club

August 17, 2017
As of July 31, 2017, the Club had $32,941 in the Bank and cash on hand.  Major income for the month included $2,945 membership dues, $1,260 from non-member range fees, $1,170 from raffle sales $800 from the Mohave Green's range use fee and $745 from the Clay Target Center.  Total revenue was $7,727.  Major Expenditures for the month included $4,227 for wages, $780 for range supplies, $933 for utilities and $398 for equipment repair and range upkeep.  Expenses totaled $8,211 for a loss for the month of $745.  Income for the year was $77,120 with expenses $75,940.  The Club had a net income of $1,880.  
Nearly all of the income has been spent on the operation of the range and Club.

June 23, 2017
MSC Bylaw Change Information
The Board of Directors are requesting member volunteers to serve on the Bylaw Committee.  If you are interested in serving on the committee, contact Rad Green at the number below.
Under Article VIII of the current Bylaws, any change request must be submitted to the Bylaw Committee by September 1, 2017.
A copy of the current Bylaws and change forms can be found on this web page and at the Range Office.  Completed forms can be returned to the Range Office or emailed to Jim Jett at jmjet@frontiernet.net.
Proposed changes will be sent to the Board by October 1, and approved at the October Board Meeting.  Board approved changes will be included in the Election Ballot for a membership up or down vote.

May 27, 2017
As of April 30, 2017, the club had $36,039 in the bank.  Major income for April included $4,315 from membership dues, $3,548 from ATA and regular use at the shotgun range, $1,300 raffle sales, and $1,230 non-member fees for a total income of $12,471.  Major costs were, $11,791 for birds at shotgun range, $3,510 salaries, range upkeep at $1,047, and $980 for utilities.  Total expenses were $20, 068.  This resulted in a net loss of $7,596.  There were 1,372 shooters for the month.  A total of 74 new members signed up and 37 members renewed.  Membership stood at 2,364.

April, 30 2017
As of March 31, 2017, the Club had a total of $45,436 in the bank.  Major income for the month included $7,770 from Antelope Eaters, $3,980 from Membership Dues, $3,670 from the Clay Target Center, $3,600 Fishing for Smiles Grant and $930 from non-member fees.  Gross revenue for the month was $22,345.  Major costs were,$3,794 for Antelope Eaters, $3,588 salaries and payroll taxes, $660 range upkeep and $640 for utilities.  Net income for the month was $12,416.  Total membership was 2290.  There were 48 new members and 96 renewals.  Range use for the month was 1597 with 1361 rifle, pistol and archery shooters and 236 shotgunners.
March 11, 2017
As of February 28, 2017 the Club had a balance of $32,295.  Major income for the month was membership dues at $5,030, Antelope Eaters Event at $3,675, law enforcement range fees at $1,500, non-members fees at $1,430 and Clay Target Center at $1,337.  Expenses for the month were, wage costs at $3,442, total utilities at $1,253, range upkeep at $983 and range supplies at $436.  Net income for the month was $3,514.  Club membership was 2193.  This includes 46 new members and 74 membership renewals in February.

We are a family oriented organization, welcoming all aspects of the shooting sports, especially youth, ladies and the beginning shooters.

We support youth marksmanship programs, also hunter education (both resident and non-resident classes). We have a large variety of shooting sports scheduled each month (check out our Events Calendar).

We are open to the public and welcome non-members to our facility

There is a non-member range use fee.

Special Notice
Mohave Sportsman Club is a member of the Arizona Sportsman for Wildlife Conservation.  AZSWC is an umbrella organization with members from many clubs and groups around the state.  Their "mission is to educate and inform sportsmen, wildlife conservation organizations throughtout the state and the public at large on important issues related to wildlife and wildlife habitat, and to provide, via grants or other sources, funding to conserve Arizona's wildlife populations through habitat enhancement initiatives." AZSWC has provided the Club with grant money for Fishing for Smiles the last two years.

The Mohave Sportsman Club has a 10 station sporting clay course.  Sporting clays can be accessed anytime the range is open with the use of a shooting card.  Just see Clay Target match director Dave Vance to purchase your card.

Military Rifle Shoot
A group of shooters has decided to begin this shoot.  I will be held on the first  Sunday of each month.  Participants can use any military rifle except for AR 15 and those with scopes.  Course of fire includes 5 sighters, 10 rounds standing, and 20 rounds prone.  Targets are set at 100 yards.
