Action Pistol Plus Match*Action Pistol Plus Match* is held the first Saturday of each month.
Set up starts at 8:00am Winter & Summer hours.
The event usually lasts for about four hours after set up on Bay 10.
Sign Up closes sharply at the completion of set up & safety briefing begins and is *mandatory* to participate in the event. Without your participation; being a RO, scoring, taping & resetting targets and/or other tasks, you will not be able to participate in the event.
Minimum equipment is: A carry style Pistol 5"/ Revolver 6" or less barrel, 9mm, 38, 40, 44, 45, iron sights / fiber optic or carry optic only, holster & belt, magazines or speed loaders &/or moon clips, magazine pouch & concealment vest. *NO* *10mm, magnums, mags over 140mm**,* *lasers, optics, compensators, porting, race guns, PCC's.* Holsters that guard & cover the trigger and will be of deigns that you can re-holster with one hand are required. Outside the waist band holsters must be used. Holsters will be at the 3 or 9 o'clock position depending if left or right handed. Kydex (plastic) or kydex leather designs are best. *If it is not a safe design you cannot use it*. *Cross draw, small of the back, pocket and shoulder holsters are not permitted*. *Ear and eye protection as well as footwear that encloses the toes are mandatory (no sandals). *
Stages are set up with a mixture of paper and steel targets, that reward accuracy and speed.
Scoring is based on a combination of time, knocking down steel, use of cover and scores on paper. All paper targets are normally shot twice, but may vary and all steel targets must be knocked down. Round count varies depending on the number of stages and how they are configured can be between 6 to 36 rounds per stage.
You will be shooting from various positions and on the move. We recommend bringing a minimum of 150 rounds. This event may also have a separate defensive long gun stage for those who choose to participate in that.
There are divisions for age, women and firearms used.
All new shooters will have a stage walk thru before shooting begins.
Juniors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
